AED is a Partnership Support Organization to NYC Public Schools
AED is one of six partnership support organizations (PSO) chosen by the New York City Department of Education and New York City public schools to provide technical assistance to the schools. Initially, the AED PSO is focusing on the middle grades and drawing on its 12 years of experience with Middle Start, a comprehensive school improvement program for schools with middle grades. As of summer 2007, the AED PSO will be working with 10 middle schools in New York City.

AED Now Managing Youth Media Reporter
With support from the Open Society Institute, AED is managing Youth Media Reporter, a monthly on-line professional publication (bound annually) that offers youth media professionals a forum to share information, reflect on work done in the field, develop practice, ascertain new approaches and pedagogy, and celebrate youth led social change. YMR includes all perspectives, viewpoints, and topics. Above all, YMR seeks to foster a new culture embracing the power of youth. A print resource highlighting key articles in YMR from 2005-06 will be available soon. www.youthmediareporter.org.
